The Importance of Privacy
The Metroon, L.L.C. and Metroon.com (“Metroon”) privacy policy is notice of our commitment to better protect your privacy. Your privacy is important to us. This policy outlines our practices in the collection and use of this information. This notice is located on all pages (at the bottom of the page) and on every page where personally identifiable information may be requested.
Our website contains links to third party websites not owned or operated by us. Metroon is not responsible for third party policies, practices, and collection of information from these other websites. This policy does not apply in any way to the third party websites.
Our policies on the collection and use of this information are applicable only to the information submitted to Metroon, L.L.C., and Metroon.com. The research suites and additional websites may have their own privacy policies that they operate under including their own privacy statements.
Application of This Policy and All Notices
This policy and any notices of privacy apply only to the information collected by Metroon, L.L.C. or Metroon.com from the users of our websites. It shall not apply to information collected by any other means, in any other way, or offline.
Data from Children
Our site is not directed at children, and we will not accept or request personal information from individuals we know to be under 13. In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, if we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with Personally Identifiable Information, we will delete this information from our databases. Collected Information
Metroon collects only validated and authored information. Metroon.com is not designed to automatically collect personally identifiable information from our visitors. We do track internet service providers or IP address as it is generally known. We cannot tell from the IP address the name of the user, their address or other information about that particular visitor to our website.
We do use this information for statistical purposes. This aggregated amount of data is compiled internally and we use this for marketing which helps us to improve and enhance our website. Some or all of this information may be provided to advertisers or other third parties. These aggregated statistics contain no personally identifiable information and cannot be used to collect, or gather information as such.
Metroon will request information from you in our website. In these small numbers of areas, we will request you to provide information to validate who you are. The information provided by you will be processed by our validation requirements. When the authentication is completed, it will be used to grant or deny access and use levels. Some of this same information will be used by our technical support and customer support groups to assist you on support issues. We may use some of this information to follow up with a support issue or to continue the customer relationship. Providing this information is entirely optional for you. In the above examples depending on the products, services, materials or information that you have subscribed to we may typically ask for some or all of the forgoing for each instance of granting an access type, your name, social security number, drivers license number, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, Metroon identification number, as well as other information as needed to validate the user and to protect our system, the user, and the information contained in our systems, from theft, fraud, misuse or the accidental, intentional, inappropriate, unlawful transfer of the user name and password to any other person or entity to allow unlawful access to this system for any reason.
Metroons Use of Personal Information
Metroon uses your personal information for specific purposes only.
At different times and different locations within our web site we will ask you to provide your name, postal address, email address, or your telephone number and we will use this information to support the customer relationship, notify you of special offers, new products or updated information from Metroon. Third party offers that we think might be of interest to you, or used to conduct market surveys or research in order to enhance Metroons products or sales. Contractors or agents that have access to your personal information will be required to keep the information confidential and shall not use the information in any other way or for any other purpose than to carry out the services and directives, they are performing for Metroon.
The granting of access and the validation of the end user will require different information types such as your social security number, drivers license number, date of birth, along with a question and answerer system in order to maintain the security and integrity of our system and to protect the end user from individuals who would attempt to fraudulently or unlawfully log on or gain some access type posing as you, using your end user name and ID.
If required by law or some judicial process that would be pertinent to judicial or government investigations or proceedings and circumstances that may require us to disclose your personal information to third parties for purposes other than marketing, sales or to support the customer relationship such as a corporate divestiture or dissolution where we sell all or a portion of our business or assets (including all lists that may contain your personal information).
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain system integrity, maintain data validation and accuracy. To ensure the correct user log on, and the correct use of information we have implemented procedures that are physical and electronic including managerial to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
